Лили Сент Кир — одна из первых стриптизерш, прославивших жанр бурлеска. Красотка по имени Уиллис Мари Ван Шаак, мечтая о карьере танцовщицы, перебралась из Миннесоты в Голливуд. Ее история — классическая американская мечта. Работа официанткой в захолустном американском городке, карьера стриптизерши, связь с государственным чиновником и мемуары — все это было в жизни красотки.

Фанни была одной из 12 детей, ее религиозная семья жила в деревушке в штате Вирджиния. В 15 лет она сбежала из дома и перебралась в Вашингтон, где начала работать в магазине пончиков. Там на нее обратил внимание менеджер одного из стрип-агентств.
