Когда подобные случаи участились, Евдокия показала мальчика врачам. Один из докторов предположил, что у ребенка развивается шизофрения, Германова попыталась установить причину и узнала, что родители Коли были наркоманами.

Германова отказалась от сына, и его отправили обратно в детский дом.

Оставить девочку она не могла и предложила Ирине… купить у нее девочку! За 50 рублей. Ирина и Вейланд восприняли эту абсурдную ситуацию как знак и без раздумий взяли ребенка.

Бетти — так назвали малышку — купалась в любви до тех пор, пока Ирина не забеременела. Родив сына, Ирина поняла, что с двумя детьми она не справится, и… отдала четырехлетнюю дочку в приют. В детдоме Бетти дали новое имя — Анастасия.

Воссоединение мамы и дочки произошло в студии шоу «Жди меня». Ирина раскаялась и предложила Бетти вернуться в семью. Но стоило девочке переехать, как ее обвинили в краже и снова выгнали. Позже в эфире программы «На самом деле» девушка рассказывала, что в детстве Вейл Родд издевался над ней, бил и спускал на нее собаку. Однажды Бетти получила сотрясение мозга.

Спустя какое-то время Кузьма переехал из Юлиного дома, и на этом игра в «усыновление» закончилась. Юлия признала, что решение взять еще одного ребенка было поспешным. Многодетная мама была еще не готова столкнуться с «некоторыми проблемами переходного возраста», которые происходили с ее приемным сыном, и они разъехались. Тем не менее Юля не теряет с Кузьмой связь и в любой момент готова его поддержать.

Когда-то Наталья воспитывала шестерых детей, но от одного из них пришлось отказаться. У Натальи уже было трое биологических детей, когда она с мужем — тренером Николаем Кибкало — усыновили Данилу. Изначально посещение детского дома, где находился Данила, было благотворительностью, но супруги привязались к ребенку.

До четырех лет мальчик радовал родителей и уживался вместе с кровными детьми Натальи. Но стоило ребенку подрасти — начались проблемы. Он агрессивно себя вел с братом и двумя сестрами, не слушался. Наталья показала сына врачам. Узнав, что ребенок страдает расстройством психики, Наталья растерялась. Здоровье и спокойствие биологических детей ей оказались дороже. Она вернула Данилу в детский дом. После пяти лет, проведенных в семье, мальчик снова оказался один.

Спустя четыре года в семье Натальи вновь произошло пополнение — в 2015 году Карпович стала мамой в шестой раз. О статусе многодетной мамы и своем прошлом она говорит так: «Единственное — жалею только, что поздно поняла, что детей должно быть много, сделала ряд ошибок. И молюсь, чтобы этот ребенок был не последний».
