В пятницу 37-летняя Катя Гордон собрала журналистов на пресс-конференции. «Я хочу сделать сенсационное заявление и рассказать о своей дальнейшей роли в политике России, которая будет бескомпромиссной и честной, как я и обещала людям, которые в меня верят, а главное – верят в перемены к лучшему! Я прошу всех коллег уделить мне внимание», – интриговала адвокат и журналистка.
На встрече с журналистами Гордон подчеркнула, что собрала свыше 105 тысяч подписей. Правозащитница продемонстрировала коробки, в которых хранились голоса избирателей. Несмотря на поддержку населения, Катя не собирается продолжать участие в предвыборной гонке. 
«Оказывается, собрать подписи – реально и возможно даже не имея денег. Я была самым нищим кандидатом в предвыборной гонке (таким же нищим, как и наша Россия) и этого не смущалась. Мы собрали больше 105 тысяч подписей, – сказала женщина. – Я не хочу принимать участие в шоу».
По словам Гордон, в ходе общения с населением ей удалось «угадать болевые точки». Поэтому Катя собирается сформировать «реальную политическую силу». Женщина объявила о создании Конституционно-демократической партии. 
«Я сегодня приглашаю каждого гражданина РФ, каждого гражданина вступать в партию для того, чтобы создать реальную силу, которая будет бороться и провозглашать конституцию», – заявила она.
Телеведущий Владимир Соловьев иронично прокомментировал решение адвоката в Твиттере. «Гордон снялась с президентской гонки. Видимо так и не смогла определиться под какой фамилией участвовать: Гордон-Подлипчук-Прокофьева…» – поделился он. Позднее Катя объяснила нападки Соловьева. Адвокат утверждает, что десять лет назад тот получил отказ от нее как от женщины. 
Тем не менее Гордон не обращает внимания на критику. В ближайших планах Кати – создание региональных отделений и публикация программы своей партии. Женщина отметила, что в социальной сфере страны есть большое количество проблем, которые требуют решения. «Мы живем в плохих условиях», – заявила правозащитница на конференции в пресс-центре «НСН».
В то же время другой кандидат в президенты – ведущая Ксения Собчак – активно ездит по России и общается с избирателями. Судя по всему, знаменитость пока не планирует снимать свою кандидатуру. Звезда полна решимости продолжать работу в сфере политики, хотя понимает, что вряд ли одержит победу в выборах. По словам Собчак, для нее важнее выразить свою позицию и найти единомышленников.
