Однако так было не всегда, в начале карьеры музыканту попросту нечем было заплатить за съемную квартиру. Его выгоняли хозяева за долги, а он тогда мог с легкостью попасть в отделение милиции.
«В наше время были сложности даже просто с тем, чтобы попасть в город Москву и получить в нем прописку, чтобы здесь официально существовать и участковый не забрал в отделение. Первую квартиру я снимал на Водном стадионе, потом вовремя не заплатил, и меня выгнали», – вспомнил Крутой.
В итоге Крутой оказался на улице. Музыкант решил снимать квартиру с другим начинающим артистом Александром Серовым.
«На Кузнецком мосту я и он снимали квартиру. А потом Евгений Леонов и Валентина Толкунова попросили в исполкоме, и мне дали комнату в трехкомнатной коммунальной квартире. Это была моя первая собственная жилплощадь на Речном вокзале. У соседки, пожилой женщины, было две комнаты. Одну из них снял Саша Серов. А потом ко мне из Украины в Москву мама приехала. А дальше так получилось, что квартира, в которой я получил комнату в коммуналке, после смерти единственной соседки стала полностью моей. А маме я купил двушку. Со временем в Москву переехала и моя сестра», – рассказал композитор.
Крутой признался, что иногда ему не хватало денег даже на еду. Несмотря на то, что он работал ночью, у него не было достаточного количества средств.
«Все было, начиная от жилищных проблем и заканчивая многими другими. Мы и ночами работали, но денег не всегда хватало даже на такси до дома доехать, и мы пешком шли.
