Тимур Еремеев и Карина Мишулина пытаются выяснить, действительно ли молодой актер говорит правду и его отец Спартак Мишулин. Для этого они привлекли экспертов, чтобы провести исследование и благодаря биоматериалу установить родство. Изначально они обратились в российскую лабораторию. Карина даже предоставила костюм Карлсона, в котором выступал Спартак Васильевич. Экспертам удалось обнаружить необходимое для того, чтобы провести анализ. Выяснилось, что Тимур Еремеев действительно сын Спартака Мишулина.
Однако Карина оказалась недовольна таким исходом. Она начала подозревать, что результаты были подтасованы. Для того, чтобы полностью убедиться в правдивости или доказать ошибку, она обратилась в клинику в Швеции. Ответ не заставил себя долго ждать – лаборатория сообщила, что не смогла обнаружить на вещах биоматериал для проведения анализа. Результаты ДНК-теста Тимура Еремеева оказались ложными
Тимур Еремеев отправился в Стокгольм, чтобы встретиться с некой Зариной, которая представлялась подругой Карины и через которую в лабораторию были отосланы вещи. Однако актеру так и не удалось этого сделать – в назначенное время женщина не пришла.

В студии программы «Пусть говорят» появился генетик Павел Иванов, который сделал ДНК-тест для Тимура и Карины. Он объяснил, чем обусловлен ответ зарубежной клиники. По его мнению, в лаборатории Огайо, куда отправляли образцы из Швеции, есть особая схема. По словам Иванова, любой желающий может прислать две палочки с биообразцом и заплатить за исследование. Генетик считает, что костюм не был допущен до исследования.
«Тот объект, кот вы прислали для выполнения задания, неприемлем для выполнения задания. Это в Огайо, не во Флориде», – сообщил Иванов.Также редакторам «Пусть говорят» удалось найти подопечную Спартака Васильевича Тамару Анохину. Она училась в Омске, руководил Народным театром. Она намекнула, что Мишулин ухаживал за ней, а мама девушки отговаривала ее от подобного увлечения. Уже спустя много лет, в 1985 году они вновь встретились. Она уже жила своей жизнью и родила ребенка. Именно тогда он ей сказал, что у него тоже есть сын.
